Help us build the most complete skimboarding map in the country
One of the questions we get asked more than anything is:
“Where can I skim in the UK?”
And honestly… it’s not always easy to answer.
The UK has loads of skim potential; long flat beaches, tucked-away estuaries, hidden sandbars, river mouths, harbour edges; but most of the best spots are passed around by word of mouth or discovered by accident.
🌍 The UK Skim Spot Map
We've started a public Google Map that pins skim-friendly locations all around the country, from well-known beaches to lesser-known gems.
This map is for:
• Beginners looking for flat, safe places to learn
• Riders travelling and hunting new spots
• The community to share and grow UK skimboarding

Why we’re doing this
Skimboarding in the UK is still small compared to surfing or skating. A big reason is simple:
People don’t know where to go.
A shared map:
• Makes skimboarding more accessible
• Helps grow local scenes
• Encourages exploration and progression
• Connects riders across the country
The more spots we uncover, the more people we’ll see sliding.
🤝 Help us add more spots
This is where you come in. You can submit:
• Beach name / location
• Best tide (if you know it)
• Short description
• Any hazards to watch out for
Let’s build something for the whole UK skim scene.
See you on the sand 🤙
